Smoking Can Harm
Your Dog

Are you a smoker??

A study I read about last year in the Houston chronicle has demonstrated conclusively that passive smoking can harm your pet.

In the study, researchers at Tufts and the University of Massachusetts say living in a household with smokers considerably increases a cat's risk of acquiring feline lymphoma, which kills three-quarters of its victims within a year.

Unfortunately the story is another one of those vanishing links so I'm unable to give you the full facts. But I do remember the implications were serious for all pets exposed to second hand smoke.

So if you've been trying to kick the habit but just haven't quite been able to get there, maybe this will be the push you need. Not only will you be improving your own health if you give up, but you'll be doing the same for your pets as well.
